The Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Deradicalization
The Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Deradicalization (IIBD), established in 2022 at the Jan Długosz University by law professors Maria Moulin-Stozek and Boguslaw Przywora, is the first Polish research center devoted to counteracting radicalization.
The scope of the research encompasses a wide range of academic disciplines from human rights, constitutional law, criminology, to sociology and psychology. It covers basic issues as well as current problems in the field, also in a comparative perspective. The Centre aims to create effective training programmes and to offer practical and proactive approaches to reducing radicalization. Therefore, the Center cooperates not only with academic institutions, but also with entities responsible for security and legal protection.
